I know I already posted this image but I thought this would be a fun thing to show in order to illustrate how I tend to work in a lot of cases. It's not uncommon for me when I'm working outdoors to know exactly how I want to frame a photograph right away. What I typically don't know is where to place the model. I'm always bouncing people around from one spot to the next asking them to climb trees, balance on rocks, lay down, stand up, curl up into balls, or whatever else I can think of.
Ultimately I decided on the image in the lower right. I just sort of like the way the figure is more or less centered and isn't totally overwhelmed by the rock sculpture. I also like the starker contrast the best too which fits with the bright sun and wide open sky.
Anyway, I thought this was interesting.
