It appears that life is getting back to normal after the absolutely absurd heatwave that rocked the Pacific Northwest. I think that it is quite fitting that I pulled this image out of the developing tank this morning. It was made on a very overcast and cool morning last summer. Give me that kind of weather any day! Last weekend I walked outside when the temperatures reached 116 degrees. It only took about three minutes before the skin on my arms got a sunburn. That is just simply not ok.
I have a number of shoots coming up over the next several weeks and I’m excited to get out into the world with my camera. The obvious challenge for me right now is the cost of film as it has skyrocketed in the last couple of years and doesn’t seem to be slowing down. I suppose that is why I bought the Sony A7c recently. While digital may never be my preferred medium, I’d rather work with a digital camera than not at all.
So stay tuned!!
