I feel like every year I get the privilege of one final photo session with good weather before winter kicks in full swing. This was from one of those days just last weekend. The temperature outside was a wonderful mid-seventies and felt glorious when standing out directly in the sun. So much so that we spent the majority of the afternoon just dancing about along the riverbank of Sauvie Island, popping off roll after roll after roll twisting around and playing with different angles. Working with the 50mm f/4 was a real treat in this case and I thought lended perfectly to the wide open scene.
Now here we are exactly one week later and it is blistering cold outside, there is sporadic rain, and I’m preparing for the reality of facing cold gray skies for the next several months. Don’t get me wrong, I like that kind of weather too, but it was nice to get in a little sun while I could.
