FINALLY!!! Rain is falling from the sky here in the Pacific Northwest after what seems like an eternity of dry heat and blazingly sunny days. Personal comfort aside (I much prefer colder weather) I am incredibly excited to do some photography with the lighting conditions I prefer. Nice, soft, subdued, light with energy and vibe of a recent rainstorm.
To celebrate in my own geeky photographer sort of way I took out the good ol' Mamiya RZ67 and a roll of Ilford Pan F to photograph the bushes outside my house. It was actually a bit difficult to get a sharp image because there was a breeze blowing all day yesterday so I had to time my shutter clicks in-between gusts of wind. The details came out nicely.
