I’m feeling very much ready to get back into some creative photo shoots again. The weather here in Portland has been fantastic as of late and its got me buzzing with excitement to get out there. Hopefully in the next few weeks I can arrange some new sessions and get to work on sharing the results on this website.
In the meantime, here is an older image that I just developed this past week. The exposure was a bit tricky as I was exposing the film right into the sun as it was just peaking out over the horizon in the early morning hours. Sometimes my Mamiya C330 TLR isn’t the greatest tool for situations like this because the lenses can flare quite a bit. I put a yellow filter on the lens to boost the contrast a bit and hopefully mitigate some of the flare and that seemed to do the trick pretty well.
All in all not a bad image and I like the way the sand looks thick as mud. Harsh sand mixed against smooth human skin has always been a weakness of mine visually speaking.
