On a very rainy Saturday morning I had some grand plans to go out for an adventure with my camera and a willing model. Mother nature had some other plans however and rather than getting soaked and taking a chance on causing some damage to my camera, we decided it would be more appealing to work indoors, sip on some tea, and just make the shoot a lot more relaxing.
I've always enjoyed doing studio work with really high contrast. In this case I lit the model with some flood lights and took the diffusing umbrella off of them so I would get solid blacks all along the right side of the frame. Normally I like to keep some semblance of detail in my studio nudes, but this time I figured, what the heck, why not go all out?
