It has been an incredibly hot summer this year. Maybe the hottest summer I have ever experienced in my lifetime. It may seem strange, but when the weather gets too hot I tend to do a lot less in terms of photo sessions. The light is just too harsh and the heat just too uncomfortable to really be productive.
Still, if I can manage to set something up that starts early enough in the morning I still manage to get some things done. This particular image was made around 7am and the temperature was already quite warm. Thankfully there was a nice quality to the light that matched perfectly with a slower speed Kodak Tmax film stock. I hardly ever work with Kodak Tmax, but in this case I appreciate the detail and the low grain levels I was able to achieve with it.
