I developed my first roll of film in my new workspace this afternoon and it felt really nice. For the first time in well...maybe ever, I have a dedicated work area for film development that isn't my kitchen.

Photographing in thick forests can be a challenge at times. Lots of patches of bright light and deep shadows. Find the right spot though and things can work to your advantage real quick.

I'm a little proud of myself for this image. Macro photograph made entirely hand held in very iffy light. I had to compose the image, hold incredibly still, lock up the mirror, and trip the shutter hoping I didn't budge during the entire process. I g

Working with the 4x5 view camera for portraits is challenging to say the least. But when the focus is achieved exactly where you want it I really like the results. The amount of depth of tone and bokeh just blows me away.
