It seems I've been working with a lot of 35mm film lately. That is fairly unusual for me as I tend to favor medium format film most of the time. However, when I am out and about on a day-to-day basis, I tend to have a 35mm camera on me as opposed to something larger. So when I'm hanging out with a friend and we decide to make a few photographs, I'm going to work with what I have.
This photograph was made during a bit of a "spa day" that a friend of mine and I were doing. I mean, sometimes we all just need a day to relax right? The background of the location wasn't particularly interesting so I decided to frame the image up close and really concentrate on texture and the water drops on skin. I was afraid the Ilford HP5 film that I was using would end up being too grainy to really see a lot of detail but thankfully I ended up being wrong on that front.
