Portrait By The Light of a Window

I've been trying to think of something profound to say about the nature of making a portrait but I'm coming up with nothing. So in the absence of that I've been trying to think of something to ramble about on the technical aspects of making this image but I'm drawing a blank on that too.  

Really, I just feel like posting a nice portrait today. It's a portrait that I enjoyed making and ultimately think looks nice. Sometimes it feels nice to just post a picture I like and leave it at that.

I do a lot of traveling to small towns and a common thread I see across the United States is boarded up movie theaters along the main strip. It makes me quite sad. So many of these theaters could be community gathering places. Get people out of the h
