Well, Portland just got blasted with about eighteen inches of snow (that is A LOT for us), which means I am hunkering down to hang out at home the next couple of days developing film, making prints, and catching up on photographic work.

Kiev 88 and a Portrait
I think one of my projects for the coming year is to figure out a way to adapt the Russian lens on my Kiev 88 (an Arsat 80mm f/2.8 for the record) onto another camera. I absolutely adore the way this piece of glass renders a portrait.

I'm staring to appreciate working with Kodak Tri-X a lot more than I used to. I realize that for a lot of people Tri-X has always been **the** classic black and white film, but I've often overlooked it in favor of Ilford, Foma, and back in the day, Fuji Neopan film.
