I had some pretty grand plans for this particular shoot that unfortunately didn't quite materialize. I was going to make some photographs down on a stretch of beach where someone had made some interesting rock sculptures just north of town.

Working with the 4x5 view camera for portraits is challenging to say the least. But when the focus is achieved exactly where you want it I really like the results. The amount of depth of tone and bokeh just blows me away.
